{"id":64370,"date":"2025-12-18T15:59:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-18T15:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/64370\/"},"modified":"2025-12-18T15:59:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-18T15:59:08","slug":"northwell-health-expands-into-pennsylvania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/64370\/","title":{"rendered":"Northwell Health expands into Pennsylvania"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Northwell Health, headquartered in New Hyde Park, has expanded into Pennsylvania.\n<\/p>\n<p>New York\u2019s largest health system has opened its first Pennsylvania practice in Dingmans Ferrywith the launch of the 2,800-square-foot Northwell Health Physician Partners Primary and Immediate Care Center. A second center, in Hawley, is slated to open in the state during the summer of 2026.\n<\/p>\n<p>Dingmans Ferry is located in Pike County within the Delaware Water Gap. The new Northwell location, slated to begin seeing patients in January, \u00a0increases access to care in an area with \u201climited medical resources,\u201d according to the health system.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEntering Pennsylvania is a new chapter for Northwell,\u201d Dr. John D\u2019Angelo, president and CEO of Northwell Health, said in a news release about the expansion.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis new center is a direct investment in the health of the Pike County community, driven by our belief that the best healthcare is local,\u201d he said. \u201cWe are eager to bring our clinical expertise and patient-centered services to Dingmans Ferry, and we are committed to working alongside residents to listen to their needs and become a reliable healthcare resource for their families and hopefully bring a fresh and unique healthcare experience to Pennsylvania.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>Northwell says the move into Pennsylvania was \u201cstrategic.\u201d Pike County was selected as the health system\u2019s first location into the state because of \u201cits rapid growth and its deep ties to the New York-New Jersey metro area,\u201d according to the news release. The health system saw an opportunity to build a presence from the ground up, and grow with the community.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe blueprint for a healthier community was clear from our work on Staten Island,\u201d Dr. Brahim Ardolic, an executive vice president at Northwell, said in the news release.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are bringing that exact same model to Pike County. This center is our first investment in that promise, delivering vital primary and immediate care without the long drive,\u201d Ardolic said.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to welcome Northwell Health to the county and have established a positive partnership over the past several years working together to improve access to healthcare services for Pike County residents and visitors,\u201d Ronald Schmalzle, Pike County commissioner vice-chairman, said in the news release.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs new neighbors in Dingmans Ferry, we\u2019re not just opening facilities \u2013 we\u2019re building relationships and expanding access,\u201d Kevin Beiner, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Northwell, said in the news release. \u201cWe\u2019re working with local leaders and residents to meet evolving needs, and we\u2019re committed to delivering world\u2011class, patient\u2011centered care with seamless connections across Northwell\u2019s network. Our promise is to be a trusted partner in improving health outcomes for this growing community.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>Medical efforts for the region are being led by Dr. Theodore Strange, regional physician executive for Staten Island at Northwell, with Dr. Michael Mandarano, an established physician in northeastern Pennsylvania, serving as site physician in Dingmans Ferry,<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Northwell Health, headquartered in New Hyde Park, has expanded into Pennsylvania.
