ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Customers in the Lehigh Valley are experiencing power outages and\u00a0downed trees Friday, amid gusty winds.<\/p>\n

More than 1,000 customers were without power in Lehigh County, while more than 1,000 customers were without power, according to PPL.<\/a><\/p>\n

In Schuylkill County, more than 1,000 customers experienced power outages.<\/p>\n

A Wind Advisory will be in place Friday morning for shifting wind gusts near 40-50 mph. With the wet ground, this may result in some downed trees or power outages.<\/p>\n

In an X post<\/a> Friday morning, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky advised people to drive carefully.\u00a0Troopers responded to trees blocking the road throughout the area, including on South 5 Street in Upper Milford Township in Lehigh County,\u00a0Branosky said.<\/p>\n

There was a downed tree on Route 22 westbound at the Route 33 North-Stroudsburg exit, according to 511pa.com<\/a>. There was a ramp restriction.<\/p>\n

Rain in our area will subside by midday Friday which could result in some minor urban\/roadway flooding.<\/p>\n

69 News Meteorologist Matt Broderick says temperatures will top out by midday well into the 50s to even near 60 degrees, then sharply dropping into the 30s Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
