ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A person is dead, and two others are hurt, after a shooting at a\u00a0shopping center in\u00a0Allentown early Friday morning.<\/p>\n
Officers responded to the center at the 1300 block of Hanover Avenue for a reported shooting around 1:30 a.m., according to a news release from the Allentown Police Department.<\/p>\n
Officers found two victims with gunshot wounds, city police said.<\/p>\n
Allentown police said initial information revealed that a fight precipitated the shooting.<\/p>\n
Officers gave first aid to the victims, who were then taken to an area hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
One victim later died, while the other victim is expected to survive his injuries, according to the news release. A short while later, an additional victim from the shooting arrived at a nearby hospital and is being treated, city police said.<\/p>\n
He is expected to survive.<\/p>\n
Police said the investigation is active and on-going, and there is no danger to the community at this time.<\/p>\n
The Allentown Police, Lehigh County DA\u2019s Office, Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, and the Lehigh County Coroner\u2019s Office are investigating.<\/p>\n
