{"id":65419,"date":"2025-12-19T17:29:09","date_gmt":"2025-12-19T17:29:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/65419\/"},"modified":"2025-12-19T17:29:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-19T17:29:09","slug":"adult-child-injured-in-southside-easton-house-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/65419\/","title":{"rendered":"Adult, child injured in Southside Easton house fire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"X4XAGK2BRZH4LA5YCZZNOHODNU\">An adult and child were injured Thursday afternoon when a fire broke out on the upper level of a Southside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lehighvalleylive.com\/topic\/Easton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.lehighvalleylive.com\/topic\/Easton\">Easton <\/a>home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"LLRAM3HENVGZXNH4T5OL57C52Q\">City Deputy Chief and Fire Marshal Chad Gruver told lehighvalleylive.com flames ignited just after 1 p.m. at the home in the 300 block of Williams Street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"UARSNG4WTRGLHE6N3JSZQNXRPY\">The adult and child managed to escape safely on their own. Two other family members were not home when the blaze broke out.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"CQ34BPWRR5ACZDDKRLGF2LBTVY\">Crews found flames near the bedroom area on the second floor and worked quickly to extinguish it, Gruver said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"EXOPULXYPFGFJHYTBJUK2NVUJI\">\u201cFire crews were able to get a hose line through the rear entrance and up the stairs quickly controlling the fire,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"HGP3YJ5ZDFCUXKEGX7YYXMOOVU\">The adult and child were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lehighvalleylive.com\/topic\/Salisbury%20Township\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.lehighvalleylive.com\/topic\/Salisbury%20Township\">Salisbury Township<\/a> for treatment of injuries.
