{"id":67200,"date":"2025-12-22T01:28:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-22T01:28:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/67200\/"},"modified":"2025-12-22T01:28:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-22T01:28:08","slug":"scranton-man-identified-in-paupack-township-fatal-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/67200\/","title":{"rendered":"Scranton man identified in Paupack Township fatal crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">PAUPACK TOWNSHIP, WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE\/WYOU) \u2014 The Wayne County Coroner\u2019s office has identified a passenger who died early Sunday morning in a Paupack Township crash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Kevin Dexter Laborde, 49, of Scranton, was pronounced dead at the scene around 4:55 a.m. off of Finn Swamp Road, between Pfeiffer Road and Goose Pond Road, according to a release from the coroner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a class=\"link  yahoo-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/wanted-person-gun-drugs-29-164948050.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Wanted person, gun, drugs, $29,000 cash found after traffic stop, police say;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Wanted person, gun, drugs, $29,000 cash found after traffic stop, police say <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The coroner\u2019s office reported Laborde was a passenger in the rear seat of a sedan that struck several trees upon exiting the roadway, whereupon he was ejected from the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The crash is currently under investigation by PSP, and an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
