{"id":67524,"date":"2025-12-22T13:23:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-22T13:23:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/67524\/"},"modified":"2025-12-22T13:23:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-22T13:23:07","slug":"juvenile-driver-flees-from-officers-in-stolen-car-crashes-into-pittsburgh-home-police-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/67524\/","title":{"rendered":"Juvenile driver flees from officers in stolen car, crashes into Pittsburgh home, police say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/97df47c28905bc6a66441004184b47fb.webp\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A juvenile is in custody after Pittsburgh Police said she fled from them in a stolen vehicle and ended up crashing into a home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">At around 12:30 a.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding without headlights on at the intersection of East Carson Street and Arlington Avenue on the South Shore.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The vehicle continued at a high rate of speed, and police said officers deactivated their emergency lights and sirens after determining the driver was not stopping.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The driver eventually lost control while turning from Bradish Street onto South 12th Street in the South Side Flats, colliding with a parked vehicle before crashing into the first floor of a home. The two people inside the home were not hurt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Officers confirmed that the car was reported stolen. The driver, a juvenile female, was taken into custody. Two other juveniles were also in the car at the time.
