PITTSBURGH \u2014 A father was shot and killed in a deadly double shooting nearly a week ago. On Monday, his family spoke out about their search for answers.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe said he would be right here. He said he would be right back\u2026 now he\u2019s not coming back,\u201d Waqiah Smith told Channel 11. <\/p>\n
For the last few days, Smith has been replaying the last moments she had with her boyfriend and father of her children, Damien Milton. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe said he will be right back, he\u2019s going back to the store, and left the kids here,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n
Then, she and her family heard the gunshots that killed him.<\/p>\n
\u201cI ran down the street and once I hit the corner, I saw somebody lying there and I got closer\u2026 and I saw it was him,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n
Detectives found Milton and another man, Quaziah Jones, shot multiple times. According to Channel 11 sources, someone was seen running away from the shooting scene \u2014 but it\u2019s unclear if that person was involved. <\/p>\n

I don\u2019t understand why. I don\u2019t understand why they would do this. What the reason was. None of this makes any sense,\u201d Smith added. <\/p>\n Now, Milton\u2019s mother, Kimberly Kirsch, is making preparations for his funeral while the person who murdered her son has yet to be arrested. <\/p>\n \u201cI feel like there\u2019s 1,000 pounds sitting on my chest. I can\u2019t breathe, I can\u2019t eat, I can\u2019t sleep. I can\u2019t think, and now, when I\u2019m done with this, I have to make funeral arrangements for my 27-year-old son.
