\u201cI can remember shopping at Country Fair as a kid,\u201d reflects Stacy Kline, Director of Advertising.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy father taking me in there and I would pick out the ice cream that we were going to eat for the weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n
Stacy Kline is now the Director of Country Fair\u2019s Advertising Department. She\u2019s in charge of mailings and community campaigns like the Loyalty Program and Pump for Charity, where since 2019, two cents have been donated for every gallon pumped to local nonprofits. There are 30 groups have benefited and $1 million has been raised.<\/p>\n
She\u2019s seen the Country Fair footprint grow into 73 locations across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York, with 1,200 employees. It started small in 1965, founded by Ray McGarvey, who owned Meadowbrook Dairy.<\/p>\n
Paul Rankin, Vice President, shared the history:<\/p>\n
\u201cHe really recognized that you had to have a store where people could pick up milk on the way home.\u201d<\/p>\n
What evolved into Super Ettes helped fuel a gasoline business in the 1980s.<\/p>\n
Today, there\u2019s a training room for new workers before they start at a site, and one of the newest locations offers no gas, but instead:<\/p>\n
