Scranton.<\/a><\/p>\nProof that Christmas traditions don’t stop for anyone, including Mother Nature herself.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“We thought for the first part of the day it’d be slow for the first part of the day but, I mean, people want their seafood, ” says manager Jesse Cooper.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Crab legs, shrimp fish, and all the fixings; all moving fast.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Obviously, the crab cakes. We get the haddock, salmon, crab claws, and oysters,” Sean Wolfe of Clarks Summit says.<\/p>\n
A holiday must have many who say it is worth the drive, no matter the conditions. The snowflakes are only adding to the Christmas spirit for shoppers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Wolfe says, “The past couple of years, it’s been wet, rainy, and really crappy. So flipped on the Christmas carols this morning, grabbed a cup of coffee, and went nuts. The snow is way better with it being Christmas.”<\/p>\n
The restaurant’s market is an annual tradition for many customers throughout the community, passed down from generation to generation.<\/p>\n
Mark Dougher of Scranton says, “It’s a family tradition, my brother and sister both worked here. The Cooper Family are great people. Every year we come out here and get fresh seafood.”<\/p>\n
Including the Cooper family themselves, celebrating 77 years in business, “Everyone that works at the market is part of the Cooper family. We celebrate the market as part of our traditions. We love having customers that make it part of their traditions, and we celebrate with them,” says Cooper.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As bags, boxes, and trunks are filled, customers are one step closer to Christmas.\u00a0<\/p>\n
