A Delaware County woman is facing potential homicide charges after police said she stabbed her daughter to death in their home. <\/p>\n

The incident happened at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday at a residence along the 200 block of South Bishop Avenue in Upper Darby Township, according to 6ABC. <\/a><\/p>\n

Upon arrival, police found the body of a 23-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds. <\/p>\n

Police said that the victim\u2019s father came home after working an overnight shift and discovered her body. He called 911 but police said she was already deceased. <\/p>\n

The mother, who the father said he found at the scene covered in blood, was taken to a hospital, where she is being evaluated. It is expected that she will be facing homicide charges, 6ABC said. <\/p>\n

The family\u2019s dog was also injured with several stab wounds and was taken to a veterinarian. <\/p>\n

Police said they do not yet have a motive for the killing.
