WYOMISSING, Pa. – Store owners at the Berkshire Mall in Wyomissing say they haven’t heard much from the mall about a potential sale.<\/p>\n
This week, 69 News has been telling you about possible changes that could lead to much of the mall being demolished.<\/p>\n
A sale is in the works which could see Montgomery County-based Abrams Realty and Development buy the mall from New York-based Namdar Realty Group.<\/p>\n
The new owner says he’ll tear down most of the mall, except for Boscov\u2019s, and a new retail development would be established.<\/p>\n
There are dozens of businesses inside the mall.<\/p>\n
The owners of “Lounge Around Games Company” say that without much information from mall owners, they’re worried about an uncertain future.<\/p>\n
“Especially for local businesses like us. For us to try to find another place would be very difficult, and I believe we thrive very well in this mall environment. So for us to go to like a strip mall or something like that probably wouldn’t work as well,\u201d said Javon Phillips, owner of Lounge Around Games Company.<\/p>\n
The developer expects the sale to be complete in March.<\/p>\n
