Halloween 2025<\/a> is only a matter of weeks away.<\/p>\n

And if you\u2019re in Pennsylvania<\/a>, puff out your chest with pride: Your state is one of the top 10 best in the country for trick-or-treating. <\/p>\n

According to a study conducted and published by KURU Footwear<\/a>, Pennsylvania is the sixth best state for trick-or-treaters in the nation.<\/p>\n

This was determined after KURU researchers graded each of the 50 states across five key factors: \u201cWalkability;\u201d \u201cGoogle Search Interest in Halloween;\u201d \u201cChild Population;\u201d \u201cPedestrian Safety;\u201d and \u201cAverage Halloween Temperature.\u201d A grade out of 100 total was then assigned. <\/p>\n

The Keystone State was particularly noted for its \u201chistory-rich neighborhoods\u201d as well as the convenience of walking to get places. Its historically lovely Halloween weather \u2014 which averages 54 degrees \u2014 was also recognized.<\/p>\n

The top five best states for trick-or-treaters were thus found to be: Utah (fifth overall); Indiana (fourth); Wisconsin (third); Ohio (second); and Illinois (first). <\/p>\n

\u201cIllinois claims the stop spot thanks to its unbeatable walkability, leading the list with a Walk Score of 77,\u201d the study elaborates. \u201cFamilies here enjoy crisp Halloween nights averaging 51 degrees and a stead search interest in trick-or-treating.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut Illinois also reports the highest pedestrian death rate in the top 10, making caution from both drivers and trick-or-treaters essential for a safe night.\u201d<\/p>\n

The state at the very bottom of the list was New Mexico. <\/p>\n
