EXETER TWP., Pa. \u2013 It’s the jolliest time of the year, and in Exeter Township, one man is stopping by from the North Pole to spread some cheer.<\/p>\n
“As a kid always on Christmas Eve, my family and I, we’d go out and we’d look at Christmas lights,” said Liam Grob.<\/p>\n
“Once I got to the age of being able to do it myself, I was like, ‘I want to go bigger and make one of those houses that kids can come see and make memories,'” he said.<\/p>\n
When Grob of Exeter Township is not putting up Christmas lights, he has another important role for the season.<\/p>\n
“I’m a professional Santa Claus, actually,” he said. “I do the 6abc Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Day parade as Santa Claus, and then every weekend, pretty much every week night, I’m out as Santa Claus, being able to spread cheer to a lot of those kids.”<\/p>\n
This Santa Claus took on the role at 15 years old, and now at 21, he’s embracing the magic he grew up with.<\/p>\n
“I would always plan all year long how to catch Santa Claus on Christmas Eve,” Grob said. “I never did catch him.”<\/p>\n
The Exeter Township Santa wants children today to experience that same wonder of Christmas.<\/p>\n
“It’s such a different world than when I was growing up,” Grob said, “but if we can keep it consistent and, you know, keep that magic still alive, kids, they thrive on it.”<\/p>\n
With Christmas just days away, Grob is asking families to come together.<\/p>\n
“It’s such a family-oriented holiday, so just being able to go out and do that all together, it’s something that they’ll remember for the rest of their lives,” he said.<\/p>\n
Over at his home on Hartline Drive, he’s creating that experience for all to enjoy.<\/p>\n
“I’m definitely proud of how it turned out this year,” Grob said. “”It’s fully interactive. You know, people are getting out, walking around, pushing buttons.”<\/p>\n
This Christmas Eve, he’s ready to celebrate.<\/p>\n
