Chili\u2019s opens \u2018most unique\u2019 Scranton location with photo ops and \u2018The Office\u2019 references<\/p>\n
NBC\u2019s hit mockumentary about a paper company in Scranton debuted 20 years ago, and still fans flock to our city just because of the show.<\/p>\n

Chili\u2019s Bar and Grill opened a \u201cScranton Branch\u201d in Dickson City this year, complete with photo ops and The Office references.<\/p>\n
This restaurant has nostalgic artwork and is a replica of a Chili\u2019s restaurant in the 90\u2019s, making it “the most unique” of more than 1,500 worldwide. <\/p>\n
Read the full story and see a video here.<\/a><\/p>\n Chili\u2019s opens \u2018most unique\u2019 Scranton location with photo ops and \u2018The Office\u2019 references<\/p>\n Chili\u2019s “Scranton Branch” opened for business in April, giving the region not just another eatery but another tourist attraction for those who love \u201cThe Office,” which was set in the city.<\/p>\n On the Fringe of Ireland: Cultural exchange to strengthen Scranton\u2019s relationship with its Irish sister city<\/p>\n Scranton Fringe, a performing arts organization, launched a partnership with Scranton\u2019s sister city in Ireland.<\/p>\n Local actors traveled to Ireland in October to perform for Irish audiences, and a group of musicians will perform here in March of 2026 as part of a cultural exchange.<\/p>\n Many Irish-Americans from the Scranton area have been able to trace their roots to the small town in County Mayo.<\/p>\n Read the full story here<\/a> and watch WVIA\u2019s Keystone Edition<\/a> episode further highlighting the cultural exchange.<\/p>\n On the Fringe of Ireland: Cultural exchange to strengthen Scranton\u2019s relationship with Irish sister city<\/p>\n Scranton’s connection to its sister city in Ireland has grown stronger with a cultural exchange. <\/p>\n PLANT PEOPLE: Back Mountain gardens to be showcased in Luzerne County garden tour<\/p>\n I started a gardening segment this year to bring gardening tips and inspiration to our listeners.<\/p>\n For this feature, the Back Mountain Bloomers Garden Club invited me to tour of one of the area’s most beautiful gardens ahead of this year\u2019s garden tour.<\/p>\n You can read the full story here.<\/a><\/p>\n Back Mountain gardens to be showcased in Luzerne County garden tour<\/p>\n The Back Mountain Bloomers Garden Club invites the public to tour six of the area’s gardens.<\/p>\n Other gardening features include a story about how microgreens<\/a> are grown at a local organic farm and a community garden in Monroe County<\/a> that donates produce to local food pantries.<\/p>\n PLANT PEOPLE: Way’s Garden preserves history on Williamsport’s ‘Millionaire’s Row’<\/p>\n This gardening segment tells the story of a community garden that was founded more than 100 years ago.<\/p>\n Sitting in the middle of Millionaires Row Historic District, the plot of land is surrounded by big Victorian homes.<\/p>\n The garden, owned by the city and maintained by volunteers and community support, highlights the history of the area. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
