This eliminates access to free streaming movies, TV shows, music, e-books and audiobooks.<\/p>\n<p>The library said the pay-per-use model from Hoopla has become an unsustainable expense.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Like many libraries across the country, the Buffalo &amp; Erie County Public Library has seen a signifigant increase in costs for digital materials,&#8221; the library said in a press release. &#8220;Unfortunately, Hoopla&#8217;s pay-per-use model, in which a library is charged each time an item is borrowed, has become an unsustainable expense for our library.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>There are still more than 100,000 e-books and audiobooks available.
