Zoo officials warned that if a new arrangement was not made, the Erie Zoo faced potential closure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Tuesday\u2019s passage still needs approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the National Park Service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Currently, the Erie Zoo is closed for the season, but big changes are expected for the upcoming 2026 year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
