EASTON, Pa. \u2013 A popular spot for beers and banter among friends will soon have its last call in Northampton County.<\/p>\n

Mother\u2019s Bar & Grille is set to close next week at 3 Lehns Court in downtown Easton, according to a post on the business’ Facebook page.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSaying goodbye is hard to do,\u201d the announcement reads.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have difficult news to share as we approach the end of the year. We will be closing our doors for the last time at midnight on New Years Eve. We want to thank all of our staff and our patrons who have been with us for the past 15+ years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mother\u2019s has been in operation for more than five decades in downtown Easton.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, the pub’s current owners, Joseph and Michael Simonetta, partnered with their brother, Philip Simonetta, to purchase and implement updates at the neighboring Pearly Baker\u2019s Alehouse<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe memories and friendships we made over the years will last forever,\u201d the Mother\u2019s announcement continues. \u201cWe\u2019re gonna miss you all.\u201d<\/p>\n

A couple of hours after its posting, the closing announcement had garnered more than 150 reactions and over 50 comments.<\/p>\n

\u201cWow it was my favorite place to hang back in the day,\u201d one person wrote.<\/p>\n
