A man from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, has been convicted of killing his girlfriend outside her home. <\/p>\n
On Thursday, October 17, 2025, Michael Dutkiewicz was found guilty of first-degree murder and possessing an instrument of crime in the death of 25-year-old Alyssa Wiest.<\/p>\n
Back in May of 2025, Wiest was found shot to death outside her home in West Conshohocken<\/a> in Montgomery County. <\/p>\n At the time, investigators said Wiest was running away from gunshots that started inside the house. <\/p>\n An investigation revealed that Wiest had reportedly just broken up with Dutkiewicz, her boyfriend of two years. <\/p>\n Dutkiewicz was later arrested and charged with her death. He is now expected to be sentenced to life in prison. <\/p>\n Wiest’s family shared that she was a microbiologist and a graduate of the University of Delaware<\/a>. Her parents said that she was just starting to blossom into greatness.<\/p>\n \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe parents of Alyssa Wiest describe her as “perfect” and just starting to blossom before she was shot outside of her home last weekend and killed. NBC10’s Yukare Nakayama has the story.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n In honor of Wiest, her family established the “Alyssa Rose STEM Legacy Scholarship<\/a>” to support young women in pursuing STEM careers. <\/p>\n “We wanted to create the Alyssa Rose STEM Scholarship to be able to carry on her name forever and give girls the opportunity to enjoy STEM as much as she did,” her mother, Nicole Levine Wiest, had shared. <\/p>\n
