SCRANTON \u2014 Packy Doherty had never been to a Lynett Memorial Boys Basketball Tournament final during his career.<\/p>\n

A perfect start by the senior and his teammates helped Scranton Prep change that.<\/p>\n

Doherty didn\u2019t miss a shot in the first quarter, going 6 for 6 and scoring 16 of his 20 points, and the Cavaliers rolled from there to a 73-37 victory over Scranton in the first semifinal Saturday night at the Lackawanna College Student Union.<\/p>\n

Scranton Prep was 12 for 13 from the field in the first quarter to reach the championship game for the first time since 2022.<\/p>\n

There, the Cavaliers will face Dunmore. The Bucks put on an impressive offensive display in the second semifinal and beat Holy Cross, 96-54.<\/p>\n

Five players scored in double figures for Dunmore, led by Brayden Canavan\u2019s 35 points. Jimmy Clark added 22 points, Carter Sload followed with 15 points, Nate Aviles chipped in 11 points and Jacob Costanzo finished with 10 points. The Bucks shot 66.7 percent from the field (36 for 54), including 17 of 28 from 3-point range to advance to the final for the first time since 2017.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Scranton Prep and Dunmore play in the championship game at 7:30 p.m. Scranton and Holy Cross meet in the consolation game at 2:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Lackawanna Trail 59, Forest City 20: At Riverside, Logan Seigle had 20 points to lead the Lions to a victory in the semifinals of the Taylor Lions Tournament<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ashton Thiel added 14 points for Lackawanna Trail (6-1).<\/p>\n

Enazer Jenkins had five points for the Foresters (0-8).<\/p>\n

Riverside 73, North Pocono 25: At Riverside, Brayden Rose had 28 points and nine rebounds to lead the Vikings to a win in the Taylor Lions Tournament<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nico Antoniacci added 19 points for Riverside (8-0), which will face Lackawanna Trail in the final Monday.<\/p>\n

Dylan O\u2019Neill had 11 points to lead the Trojans (2-5).<\/p>\n

Wallenpaupack 45, East Stroudsburg South 37: At Honesdale, Joseph Yeo had 11 points to lead the Buckhorns to a victory in the semifinals of the Honesdale Jaycees Tournament<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Diego Adames tacked on nine points for Wallenpaupack (2-4).<\/p>\n

Marcel Stapler had 16 points for East Stroudsburg South (1-6).<\/p>\n

Montrose 58, Susquehanna 52: At Montrose, Jai Herman had 19 points to lead the Meteors to a win in the semifinals of the Susquehanna County Christmas Tournament<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jude Adams added 14 points and Sawyer Brown tacked on 10 for Montrose (2-6).<\/p>\n
