Houses continued to become more expensive\u00a0across\u00a0the state in November, while sales\u00a0dropped from the same time last year.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

According to the latest housing report from the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors<\/a>, the\u00a0Pennsylvania\u00a0median home price<\/a> was up 5.2% year over year in November.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

Meanwhile,\u00a0November\u2019s median sales price was $305,000, compared to $290,000 in November 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The median sales price jumped 1.6%\u00a0over the average price of\u00a0$300,000\u00a0in October.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cIn\u00a0Pennsylvania, home prices<\/a> have remained remarkably steady throughout the year, providing a sense\u00a0of\u00a0stability for both buyers and sellers as the market continues to adjust to changing conditions,\u201d said Bill Lublin<\/a>,\u00a0PAR president. \u201cEven in a steadier pricing environment, homeowners are benefiting from rising equity, showing the lasting financial value\u00a0of\u00a0investing in a home.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

The number\u00a0of\u00a0home sales<\/a> fell slightly less than 2% over\u00a0year\u00a0to 9,200 in November, compared to 9,380 last year. Sales dropped 17% in November compared to October.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There was a break in the tight inventory the state has been experiencing.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

The number\u00a0of\u00a0homes on the market increased 3.4% compared to this time last year.\u00a0However, that\u00a0number fell slightly to 41,200 in November from last month\u2019s\u00a043,600.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
