BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Northampton County District Attorney’s Office says it’s actively investigating a shooting outside a Bethlehem McDonald’s.<\/p>\n
This happened Saturday evening on the 400 block of Wyandotte Street just before 6 p.m. Kevin Bernal was in his apartment across the street.<\/p>\n
“I had my window cracked because it was, you know, hot. So I heard the pow,” recalled Bernal.<\/p>\n
Jarret Berg was home as well. He said he was scared to leave his home.<\/p>\n
“The shots started going off, and I was about to walk my dog. I stayed inside for the rest of the night. I’m not about to put myself in no situation like that,” said Berg.<\/p>\n
Berg said he’s just thankful he and his neighbors weren’t hurt.<\/p>\n
“That’s right across the street from my house. Bullets don’t have no names. It could have came through the wall. My bedroom is in the front of my house,” said Berg.<\/p>\n
Bernal said, when he looked out the window, it was clear someone was hurt.<\/p>\n
“There was a red car right there. He got stuck, he got shot right in the car,” said Bernal.<\/p>\n
Bethlehem Police told us that victim was taken to the hospital and had to undergo surgery. Bernal said, unfortunately, it’s not the first time he’s heard gunshots in this area.<\/p>\n
“In the back neighborhood right here, it’s kind of normal to hear like gunshots,” said Bernal.<\/p>\n
