WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. \u2013 A restaurant chain known for its all-you-can-eat dining experience will join the Lehigh Valley\u2019s food scene in the new year.<\/p>\n
A location of Texas de Brazil, a Brazilian-American steakhouse brand offering a wide selection of flame-grilled meats carved tableside, is coming soon to the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall Township, according to the mall\u2019s online map and directory.<\/p>\n
The new restaurant will occupy a lower-level space that previously housed a location of Ruby Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Texas de Brazil’s online listing of locations includes the forthcoming Pennsylvania restaurant \u2013 dubbed \u201cLehigh\u201d \u2013 with only \u201c2026\u201d in parentheses.<\/p>\n
Founded in 1998 as a family-owned business, Texas de Brazil is an authentic churrascaria (steakhouse) featuring a continuous dining experience that \u201ccombines the flavors of Brazil with the hospitality of Texas,\u201d according to a company description.<\/p>\n
Texas de Brazil has expanded over the decades to become one of the largest Brazilian-American steakhouse brands in the world.<\/p>\n
Today, there are 54 Texas de Brazil restaurants in 23 states, one in Puerto Rico and 10 international locations in countries such as Qatar, Panama and South Korea.<\/p>\n

Texas de Brazil\u2019s menu highlights a wide selection of flame-grilled meats, including picanha, garlic picanha, Brazilian sausage, barbecued pork ribs, leg of lamb, lamb chops, filet mignon, flank steak, chicken breast wrapped in bacon, filet mignon wrapped in bacon, spicy sirloin, parmesan-crusted pork loin, parmesan drumettes and beef ribs.<\/p>\n
All meats are cooked the “gaucho way” – over an open flame with natural wood charcoal, and complimentary house-baked cheese bread, garlic mashed potatoes and fried bananas are paired with each experience, according to the business’ website.<\/p>\n
The brand invites guests to \u201csavor traditional Brazilian churrasco cooking served with the generous spirit and hospitality that Texas is known for.\u201d<\/p>\n

Texas de Brazil began with a dream in Porto Alegre, Brazil, according to an account on the restaurant\u2019s website.<\/p>\n
\u201cEnjoying the rancher\u2019s life and feasting in the rodizio style native to the region, one of our partners had visions of bringing churrasco culture north to the United States,\u201d the account reads.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe wanted to share this unique way of dining where guests indulge in a parade of meats and extravagant seasonal salad area. The destination for this restaurant was none other than cattle country\u2026Texas. After all, the traditional steakhouse of Brazil blends perfectly with the service and class of the Lone Star State.\u201d<\/p>\n
In Whitehall, Texas de Brazil will occupy a lower-level Lehigh Valley Mall space that previously housed a Ruby Tuesday location, which closed in 2020.<\/p>\n
It will join more than 20 other Lehigh Valley Mall restaurants and food stands, including other full-service spots such as The Cheesecake Factory, Bonefish Grill and Red Lobster, along with quick-service eateries such as Johnny\u2019s Bagels & Deli, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Shake Shack.<\/p>\n

A location of Dunkin\u2019 \u2013 the country\u2019s largest coffee and doughnuts brand \u2013 opened on Monday, Dec. 29, on the mall\u2019s lower level near the escalators, while a location of Chick-fil-A \u2013 a quick-service restaurant company known for its freshly-prepared chicken selections \u2013 will cease operations at 2 p.m. Dec. 31.<\/p>\n
