The first of two new Wingstop<\/a> locations in Erie County is now open.<\/p>\n

The chicken wing chain based in Garland, Texas, which now has more than 2,000 restaurants worldwide, opened its first Erie location on Dec. 26, according to Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The new location at 5043 Peach St, Unit A-12, sits in the same plaza as Dollar General, LA Weight Loss, UPMC GoHealth Urgent Care, Erie Donut Factory and other businesses.<\/p>\n

Millcreek planning and development director Matt Waldinger told the Erie Times-News that the new Wingstop location<\/a> once housed a Jimmy John’s and Coney Island of Erie Diner.<\/p>\n

\u201cErie, the flavor has landed,\u201d the Wingstop franchise posted on Facebook on Dec. 26. \u201cThe new Wingstop location at 5043 Peach St. is now open.\u201d<\/p>\n

What to expect from the new Wingstop<\/p>\n

When Erie customers stop into Wingstop for a bite to eat, the website shows<\/a> customers can expect 14 different flavors of wings ranging from no heat to \u201call the heat,\u201d<\/p>\n

The flavors include:<\/p>\n

Other menu items include chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, drinks, side items and desserts. All menu items can be found on wingstop.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The former Coney Island of Erie, 5043 Peach St., will soon become a Wingstop chicken wing restaurant.<\/p>\n

What are the Wingstop hours in Erie?<\/p>\n

At the new location on Peach Street, the Wingstop will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.<\/p>\n

Status on the Wingstop in Harborcreek Township<\/p>\n

A second Wingstop is currently being built in Harborcreek Township on Buffalo Road near Planet Fitness.<\/p>\n

A new Wingstop location is under construction in Habrorcreek Township on Dec. 29. The new location will be at 4500 Buffalo Road near Smoker Friendly and the UPS Store.<\/p>\n

Restaurant recap: December brought news of exciting restaurant openings and reopenings<\/a><\/p>\n

Township officials have not received any updates on the opening of this location. On Dec. 29, construction was still being done to the interior of the location.<\/p>\n
