CUMRU TWP., Pa. – Route 422 in Cumru Township was brought to a halt late on Friday night after authorities say a car hit the median, crashed through a sign, and dropped nearly 100 feet before catching on fire.<\/p>\n
We’re told the car was traveling westbound on 422 before the accident.<\/p>\n
The male driver managed to get himself out of the car.<\/p>\n
He was rushed to Reading Hospital with serious injuries.<\/p>\n
Route 422 was closed for nearly 2 and a half hours after the crash.<\/p>\n
