CAMDEN, New Jersey (WPVI) — A program with the Junior League of Philadelphia is getting kids in the kitchen!<\/p>\n

The after-school activities are a way to teach children about nutrition while developing a life skill.<\/p>\n

“I hope it unlocks a joy for learning about their health. And beyond that, just… more creativity and opening new worlds for them,” said Pam Phojanakong, President of the Junior League of Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

“We’re all about empowering and developing women to be leaders in their community, and we do that through offering membership training and hands-on experiences through community work,” she continued.<\/p>\n

This program is held at East Camden Middle School<\/a>, in collaboration with “Social Responsibility Through Me<\/a>” and the Junior League of Philadelphia.<\/p>\n
