SOUTH ABINGTON TWP., LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) \u2014 The Abington Police Department is mourning the sudden loss of Officer Scott Seigler, a 16-year veteran of the department who died unexpectedly, officials announced.<\/p>\n
Officer Seigler, identified as Badge No. 49, was remembered as a dedicated public servant who took great pride in protecting and serving the community he called home. Colleagues say he was deeply committed to his work and was especially respected for mentoring new recruits as they began their careers in law enforcement.<\/p>\n
Beyond his service in uniform, Officer Seigler was described as a devoted husband, father, and friend whose impact extended far beyond the department.<\/p>\n
The Clarks Summit Police Department also issued a statement honoring Officer Seigler, calling him a valued friend and trusted colleague who was always willing to offer support and stand alongside fellow officers.<\/p>\n
\u201cOfficer Seigler served with dedication, integrity, and compassion,\u201d the department said. \u201cHe will be remembered for the positive impact he made on the communities he served.\u201d<\/p>\n
Law enforcement agencies and community members across the region have expressed condolences, offering support to Officer Seigler\u2019s family, friends, and fellow officers during this difficult time.<\/p>\n
