Chickie’s & Pete’s<\/a> at the Philadelphia International Airport has been named one of the Top 10 Best Airport Sit-Down Restaurants in the USA TODAY 10BEST Readers\u2019 Choice Awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chickie’s & Pete’s,<\/a> which bills itself as the official sports bar of the Philadelphia Eagles, has been in business for nearly 50 years. It began as a single corner bar in the Mayfair neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia and has become one of the most recognizable brands in the industry, famous for its “gloriously messy & bread-dipping” crab dishes as well as crab fries. The founders were Peter and Henrietta “Chickie” Ciarrocchi.<\/p>\n

The chain now has 17 locations, including at PARX Casino in Bensalem, 500 Easton Road, Warrington and 11000 Roosevelt Blvd., Northeast Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

Its restaurants are known for serving Crabfries, hot french fries sprinkled with crab seasoning. Other signature dishes include a variety of fresh crab entrees, lobster roll, mussels, clams and oysters, Philly cheesesteaks, roast pork sandwiches, burgers, chicken wings.<\/p>\n

In 2007, Chickie’s & Pete’s opened its first restaurant at Philadelphia International Airport, located in Terminal C. It now has four locations in A-West, C, D, and E.<\/p>\n
