The Bison will be taking on Lehigh on Saturday, Jan. 3 at 2 p.m. in Bethlehem. This is a step above last season, when they were picked eighth and finished sixth.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Bison did not place any members on the Preseason All-Patriot League Team this season.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tJunior <a href=\"https:\/\/bucknellbison.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/tuana-coskun\/10110\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10110\" target=\"_blank\">Tuana Coskun<\/a> was named captain of the Bison for the 2025- 26 season.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBucknell women&#8217;s basketball is entering its seventh season under head coach <a href=\"https:\/\/bucknellbison.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/coaches\/trevor-woodruff\/1378\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1378\" target=\"_blank\">Trevor Woodruff<\/a>. Woodruff was named Patriot League Coach of the Year in his first two seasons.&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn addition to Woodruff and returning assistant coaches <a href=\"https:\/\/bucknellbison.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/coaches\/edward-joyner-jr-\/1509\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1509\" target=\"_blank\">Edward Joyner Jr.<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/bucknellbison.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/coaches\/shelby-case\/1390\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1390\" target=\"_blank\">Shelby Case<\/a>, the Bison had two new additions to their coaching staff in the off-season. Lauren Holden joined the Bison as the associate head coach and Danielle Patterson joined Bucknell as an assistant coach.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Lehigh at a Glance<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tLehigh enters the contest 5-7 overall and 1-0 in the Patriot League after defeating Army on New Years Eve.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn their last time out, the Mountain Hawks earned their first Patriot League victory of the season with a 77-66 win over Army on Saturday.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Mountain Hawks shot a season-best 52% from the field and 50% from 3-point range, knocking down nine of 18 attempts from beyond the arc. Six of those nine 3-pointers came in the first half. Lehigh also converted a season-high 24 of 27 free throws. Defensively, the Mountain Hawks held Army to 40% shooting from the field and just 18% from 3-point range.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tWhitney Lind leads the Mountain Hawks in points per game with 14.4.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tLeia Edwards leads the team in rebounds per game with 6.9.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tJessie Ozzauto leads Lehigh in assists per game with 2.9.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBelle Bramer leads the team in steals per game with 2.0 and total steals with 18.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tKatie Hurt leads the Mountain Hawks in blocks with 6.&#13;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Series History with the Mountain Hawks<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThis will be the 103rd matchup between Bucknell and Lehigh.&#13;<br \/>\n\tBucknell leads the series 52-50.&#13;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Bucknell&#8217;s Last Time Out<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tDespite coming back to take a 55-54 lead with 58 seconds left in the game, Bucknell women&#8217;s basketball (4-8, 0-1 PL) dropped its Patriot League home opener 58-55 to Holy Cross (7-5, 1-0 PL) after the Crusaders ended the game with four consecutive free-throws to take the win in Sojka.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Bison&#8217;s main scoring efforts generated from <a href=\"https:\/\/bucknellbison.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/isabella-casey\/10107\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10107\" target=\"_blank\">Isabella Casey<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/bucknellbison.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/tuana-coskun\/10110\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10110\" target=\"_blank\">Tuana Coskun<\/a> who both saw double-digit scoring. Casey broke her career-high in scoring in a second consecutive game as she notched 19 points in the loss on 9-of-11 shooting from the field. Coskun had a team-high 23 points. <a href=\"https:\/\/bucknellbison.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/hope-masonius\/10113\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10113\" target=\"_blank\">Hope Masonius<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/bucknellbison.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/anna-kunzwiler\/10112\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10112\" target=\"_blank\">Anna Kunzwiler<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/bucknellbison.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/ella-kreuzer\/12503\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12503\" target=\"_blank\">Ella Kreuzer<\/a> each notched four rebounds and <a href=\"https:\/\/bucknellbison.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/elena-houghton\/10108\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10108\" target=\"_blank\">Elena Houghton<\/a> led the team in assists with seven. Coskun and Casey each had one steal apiece.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBucknell outperformed Holy Cross in shooting from the field going 22-for-47 (.468) compared to the Crusaders 20-for-51 (.392) performance. Both teams were even from three with three three-pointers each.
