BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh County Coroner’s office says that two victims of a suspected murder-suicide were found in a Bethlehem home Friday night, both of whom had suffered apparent gunshot injuries.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Bethlehem Police say that at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of 10th Avenue after a 911 call from an adult who had just dropped off a child resident following a playdate. The child entered the home, then returned outside and reported a serious issue had occurred inside the residence.<\/p>\n
Bethlehem Police officers responded to the scene and located two deceased adults, along with a firearm, in the basement of the home. Two additional juveniles were found in the residence and were safely removed by responding officers. An older adult was also located in a separate part of the home<\/p>\n
and appeared unaware of the incident; this individual is not considered a suspect.<\/p>\n
Police say the three juveniles have been identified as the children of the deceased adults and have since been placed in the care of family members.<\/p>\n
The Coroner says a 39-year-old woman was found deceased at the scene and pronounced dead at 11:22 p.m..<\/p>\n
A 42-year-old male, who was in the same residence, was found suffering from gunshot wounds and transported to St.Luke’s University Hospital. He was later prounounced dead at 11:39 p.m.<\/p>\n
Autopsies for both victims are scheduled for Monday.<\/p>\n
The Coroner’s office, the City of Bethlehem Police Department, the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s office are investigating.<\/p>\n
