It’s Week 18, a time when some teams have everything to play for and others not that much.<\/p>\n

For the Eagles, there is a bit to worry about, but maybe not as much as Philly fans would like.<\/p>\n

Because of that, head coach Nick Sirianni seems primed to sit some of the stars, most notably QB Jalen Hurts.<\/p>\n

Yes, the Eagles’ game matters, but only a little bit.<\/p>\n

The Eagles are currently the NFC’s No. 3 seed but could still ascend to the 2-seed.<\/p>\n

The Eagles would be No. 2 if they win against the Commanders\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0Chicago Bears<\/a>\u00a0lose to the\u00a0Detroit Lions<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 2-seed would mean hosting the\u00a0Packers<\/a>\u00a0next week to open the playoffs.<\/p>\n

The 3-seed would host either the\u00a049ers<\/a>\u00a0(if the\u00a0Rams<\/a>\u00a0win on Sunday) or the Rams, if they lose on Sunday to the\u00a0Cardinals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That’s not enough for the Eagles to risk injury to their best players.<\/p>\n

So at quarterback, Tanner McKee gets the call, and others like Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith may sit, too.<\/p>\n
