In a hard-fought matchup between archrivals, the Steelers prevailed over the Ravens on Sunday night at Acrisure Stadium, 26-24. With the win, the Steelers improved to 10-7 and secured their first AFC North title since 2020. They’ll go into the playoffs as the No. 4 seed in the AFC.<\/p>\n
The Steelers fell behind early, 10-0, thanks to an opening drive 38-yard touchdown pass from Lamar Jackson to\u00a0Devontez Walker and a 40-yard field goal by Tyler Loop in the second quarter. However, the Steelers clawed their way back with 13 straight points, starting with a Chris Boswell 57-yard field goal in the second quarter. The Steelers went down the field on their first drive of the second half and scored on a 1-yard touchdown run by Connor Heyward on their own version of the tush push, then Boswell added a 25-yard field goal after T.J. Watt intercepted a pass from Jackson that was tipped at the line of scrimmage by Cam Heyward.<\/p>\n
The first three quarters were overshadowed by a back-and-forth fourth quarter. It started with a 50-yard touchdown pass from Jackson to Zay Flowers to put the Ravens up, 17-13. The Steelers answered with a 2-yard Kenneth Gainwell touchdown with only 3:49 remaining, but then Jackson hit Flowers for a 64-yard score to put the Ravens back up, 24-20.<\/p>\n
With just :55 remaining, Aaron Rodgers hit Calvin Austin III for a 26-yard score to put the Steelers up, 26-24. However, Boswell missed the extra point, allowing the Ravens a chance to go down and kick a game-winning field goal. The Ravens got into position, setting up Tyler Loop for a 44-yard attempt with just two seconds left on the clock. However, Loop’s attempt missed wide right, giving the Steelers the victory.<\/p>\n
