Johanny Cepeda-Freytiz, D-Berks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis funding will clear up traffic congestion in West Reading, which will improve safety and mobility for so many of our neighbors,\u201d said Cepeda-Freytiz. \u201cI am proud to see this funding come back through the state budget to improve the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Intersections that will receive new traffic signal retiming and equipment upgrades include:<\/p>\n<p>7th Avenue \/ Parkside Drive North7th Avenue \/ Reading Avenue8th Avenue \/ Hill Avenue \/ Reading Avenue<\/p>\n<p>This grant is funded through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pa.gov\/services\/penndot\/apply-for-traffic-operations-grant\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Green Light-Go<\/a>\u00a0grant program. It is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pa.gov\/agencies\/penndot\/news-and-media\/newsroom\/statewide\/2025\/shapiro-administration-invests-nearly--30m-in-municipal-traffic-\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">one of three<\/a>\u00a0awarded projects in Berks County to improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"From Office of State Rep.
