Broad St. in Bethlehem.<\/p>\n<p>                        <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAQAAAADCAQAAAAe\/WZNAAAAEElEQVR42mM8U88ABowYDABAxQPltt5zqAAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==\" alt=\"retro.jpg\" class=\"img-responsive lazyload full blur\" width=\"1972\" height=\"1051\" data- data-\/><\/p>\n<p>             <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/695c3f82859e7.image.jpg\" alt=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\" loading=\"lazy\" height=\"107\" width=\"200\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Retro Burger has closed on West Broad Street in Bethlehem<\/p>\n<p>                                    Ryan Kneller<\/p>\n<p>Retro Burger\u2019s Google listing has been updated to read \u201cpermanently closed,\u201d and the restaurant recently shared messages from individuals lamenting how much they will miss Retro Burger on the business\u2019 Facebook page.<\/p>\n<p>Husband and wife Juan Carlos and Cara Paredes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfmz.com\/features\/eat-sip-shop\/new-restaurant-to-bring-unique-burgers-freakshakes-to-former-mint-gastropub-in-bethlehem\/article_dbb34dda-77fe-11ee-86b8-af2fc375a804.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">opened Retro Burger in fall 2023<\/a> at the site of the former Mint Gastropub, a restaurant known for its creative food and drink menus.<\/p>\n<p>The Paredeses are no strangers to the restaurant industry.<\/p>\n<p>On downtown Bethlehem\u2019s Main Street, the couple owns and operates additional full-service establishments, including Tapas on Main, Cachette Bistro &amp; Creperie, The Flying Egg and Urbano Mexican Kitchen &amp; Bar.<\/p>\n<p>In summer 2022, they took over operations of The Mint and spent the next few months updating the restaurant&#8217;s look and menu before <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfmz.com\/features\/eat-sip-shop\/couple-revamps-bethlehem-gastropub-as-they-plan-7th-city-restaurant\/article_897c472a-71dc-11ed-98b8-a32c25ea018b.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">unveiling the changes to the public in the fall of that year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>                        <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAQAAAADCAQAAAAe\/WZNAAAAEElEQVR42mM8U88ABowYDABAxQPltt5zqAAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==\" alt=\"retro burger 2.jpg\" class=\"img-responsive lazyload full blur\" width=\"1985\" height=\"1044\" data- data-\/><\/p>\n<p>             <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/695c401b00726.image.jpg\" alt=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\" loading=\"lazy\" height=\"105\" width=\"200\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                                    Ryan Kneller<\/p>\n<p>After about nine months of operation, though, the couple \u201cwanted to try a new concept\u201d at the west Bethlehem building, Cara previously told 69 News.<\/p>\n<p>Retro Burger, with seating for more than 70 customers, offered a variety of unique burgers and handhelds, including a Hipster Burger\u201d (single beef patty, avocado spread, candied bacon, tomato aioli, smoked gouda cheese and seeded bun), \u201cFrench Onion Burger\u201d (French onion seasoned beef, Swiss cheese and caramelized onion on sesame seed bun toasted with au jus and served with gravy for dipping) and \u201cThankful for Turkey\u201d (turkey patty, arugula, goat cheese, cranberry aioli and side of house gravy).<\/p>\n<p>Other sandwich highlights included a Cubano, crispy chicken sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich, crabby patty and West Broad cheesesteak.<\/p>\n<p>Guests could also enjoy shareables such as beer cheese and pretzels, pulled pork wontons, fried pickles and nachos;
