READING, Pa. – Reading’s famous Pagoda could be opening its doors just in time for spring.<\/p>\n
The Pagoda Foundation’s president says the hope is to open the landmark in late April.<\/p>\n
City Council President Donna Reed says the landmark may open incrementally, room by room.<\/p>\n
The Pagoda has not been open for several years. Since then, it’s had major work on all fronts.<\/p>\n
Workers have removed the scaffolding and are once again lighting the Pagoda. Officials say this offers a fresh start for the city.<\/p>\n
“It hasn’t been open for quite some time. Just to have it reopened and what that looks like, it’s a promise for the City of Reading and that’s something to look forward to,” said Joey Miranda with the Reading Pagoda Foundation.<\/p>\n
