READING, Pa. – The man named as a suspect in a 2023 Reading homicide is in custody, authorities say.<\/p>\n
Berks County District Attorney John Adams confirms that 33-year-old Vincent Sanchez was taken into custody in New York City.<\/p>\n
On the afternoon of July 21, 2023, police say Sanchez gunned down Ellis Garman at S. 6th and Cherry Streets.<\/p>\n
Garman’s homicide was just one of three shootings that would occur over a violent 24-hour period in the city.<\/p>\n
Sanchez is charged with first degree murder, aggravated assault and related offenses.<\/p>\n
