\t\t\tOBITUARY\t\t<\/p>\n
Ronald A. Fawcett, 87, of Ransom Township, died on Saturday at Allied Hospice, Scranton. He was preceded in death by his wife Gaetana \u201cTina\u201d Dorothy Fawcett, who died in 2022.<\/p>\n
\nBorn in Scranton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Clara Fawcett. He was a 1957 graduate of Johnson Technical. Ron was employed over 30 years by Buranich Enterprises as the driver of school bus #17, a job he truly enjoyed because he loved the children like his own. Throughout the years, he also worked for American Can Company, Pope & Talbot, Keystone College, and Scranton Country Club. Ron was a man who never met anyone he didn\u2019t like. He was a very proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather who was known for his huge hugs.<\/p>\n
\nSurviving are daughters Francine of Ransom Township and Joy Fiorini and husband William of Nicholson; grandchildren Stephanie Yurcho and husband Adam, Frank G. Miller IV and wife Jessica, Victoria Fiorini, and Isabella Fiorini; great grandchildren Henry Francis Miller and Caleb Gordon Miller; and nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
\nHe was preceded in death by his brother Joseph.<\/p>\n
\nA blessing service will be held on Wednesday at 6 pm at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 4 pm until the time of the service.<\/p>\n
