From Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority<\/p>\n
The South Central Transit Authority (SCTA) approved route and schedule changes for the Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority (BARTA) to be implemented on Monday, Jan. 5.<\/p>\n
A route-by-route description of the changes is as follows:<\/p>\n
Route 1 \u2013 Temple via 5th Street:<\/p>\n
Approved to eliminate the time point outbound and inbound at 5th Street and Crescent Avenue.<\/p>\n
Approved to adjust the time points to improve on-time performance.<\/p>\n
Route 8 \u2013 Reiffton\/Shelbourne Square\/Birdsboro:<\/p>\n
Approved to add four trips to Birdsboro in the afternoon between 12:50 p.m. and 5 p.m.<\/p>\n
Approved to not serve the Boscov\u2019s Distribution Center on the 5:15 a.m. trip, instead to serve it on the 7:15 a.m. trip to better serve employee shifts.<\/p>\n
Approved to adjust the time points to improve on-time performance.<\/p>\n
Route 9 \u2013 Grill\/Kenhorst:<\/p>\n
Approved to provide service to Berks Nature, 575 St. Bernardine St., Reading, inbound and outbound.<\/p>\n
Route 10 \u2013 Brookline:<\/p>\n
Approved to serve the Shillington Plaza in the evening after 6:30 p.m., inbound only.<\/p>\n
Route 14 \u2013 Wernersville via Sinking Spring:<\/p>\n
