Summit County<\/a> after the body of a 24-year-old woman — identified as Shawnna Elizabeth Pasquale of Erie, Pennsylvania — was found inside of a hotel room on Rothrock Road in Copley Township on New Year’s Day.<\/p>\nThe Copley Police Department said officers responded to the scene on Jan. 1 amid a report “of an apparent deceased female.”<\/p>\n
Detectives, along with the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office, determined the victim died as a result of a physical assault, according to a press release from the Copley Police Department.<\/p>\n
“Her manner of death has been ruled a homicide,” according to Copley police.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Pasquale family is desperate for answers.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have to know what had happened and what led to that,\u201d said Rachel Pasquale, the victim\u2019s sister. \u201cMy heart feels like it’s breaking over and over again.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to Rachel Pasquale, for the past month her sister had been living at the hotel, hoping for a fresh start in Ohio.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She leaves behind a grieving family, including her four-year-old daughter.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cShe was good with kids like she was just a remarkable girl, remarkable woman. I was proud to say that I was her sister,\u201d said Brianna Pasquale, another sister.\u00a0<\/p>\n
So far, officials say no arrests have been made and no information about a suspect has been released.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u201cWe need justice for Shauna, because she did not deserve any of this,\u201d said Rachel Pasquale. \u201cIt’s very, very important to us that we get whoever did this, and they are locked up 100% and cannot get out.<\/p>\n
