Two men face felony drug charges after the sale of narcotics to a confidential informant, according to a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
Carl Lambert, 48, of 40 Hemlock St., Carbondale, and Bernard Brightman, R. 232 Vine St., Plymouth, are accused of selling illegal drugs in the parking lot of the Hampton Inn, Moosic, on Monday.<\/p>\n
Both men were arraigned before District Judge George Seig and remain at the Lackawanna County Prison on $100,000 bail.<\/p>\n
According to the criminal complaint:<\/p>\n
During a joint investigation including members of the Pennsylvania State Police and Lackawanna County District Attorney\u2019s Office Drug Unit, investigators learned of a confidential informant who said they could obtain narcotics from Lambert.<\/p>\n
The informant said Lambert agreed to sell them 114 grams of methamphetamine for an agreed-upon amount.<\/p>\n
Investigators, who noted they were already familiar with Lambert from previous drug investigations, gave the informant marked money and watched as the informant parked in the Hampton Inn\u2019s lower parking lot.<\/p>\n
At about 1:30 p.m., investigators spotted a white Chevrolet Silverado pulling into the upper lot.<\/p>\n
Five minutes later, Lambert got out of the Silverado\u2019s passenger side door, walked to the lower parking lot and entered the informant\u2019s vehicle.<\/p>\n
The informant was in contact with investigators during this time and indicated Lambert\u2019s dealer was on his way to the location where they were parked.<\/p>\n
The Silverado then drove away.<\/p>\n
At about 2:40 p.m., investigators spotted a white Nissan Rogue pull beside the informant\u2019s vehicle.<\/p>\n
Lambert exited the informant\u2019s vehicle and got into the Rogue. A short time later he came back to the informant\u2019s vehicle, exchanged drugs for cash and got back into the Rogue.<\/p>\n
Investigators followed the Rogue, conducted a traffic stop and identified Lambert and Brightman, who was the driver.<\/p>\n
They searched the vehicle and found marked money used during the drug purchase and an iPhone used during the deal.<\/p>\n
Investigators then met with the informant, who turned over 4 ounces of methamphetamine.<\/p>\n
Officers searched the informant and didn\u2019t find any contraband, weapons or cash.<\/p>\n
