AND TO CELEBRATE, HBO BROUGHT A COFFEE TRUCK TO SERVE EMPLOYEES AT ALLEGHENY GENERAL HOSPITAL. THAT\u2019S THE BACKDROP FOR THIS EMMY AWARD WINNING SHOW. AT TODAY\u2019S EVENT, WE SPOKE WITH THE DIRECTOR FOR THE HOSPITAL\u2019S EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. THAT\u2019S THE ROLE THAT THE MAIN CHARACTER PLAYS ON THE SHOW. HE SAYS EVERYTHING YOU\u2019VE SEEN ON THE PIT IS STRIKINGLY ACCURATE. A LOT OF THE CASES THAT WE ALWAYS TALK ABOUT, YOU KNOW, WE\u2019VE ALL THOSE CASES YOU SAW IN THE FIRST SEASON WE\u2019VE HAD HERE AT HGH OVER OUR CAREERS, JUST NOT IN ONE SHIFT.
