{"id":80922,"date":"2026-01-08T04:03:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-08T04:03:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/80922\/"},"modified":"2026-01-08T04:03:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-08T04:03:10","slug":"70-year-old-man-found-dead-following-house-fire-in-exeter-twp-berks-regional-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/80922\/","title":{"rendered":"70-year-old man found dead following house fire in Exeter Twp. | Berks Regional News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EXETER TWP., Pa. &#8211; The Berks County Coroner&#8217;s Office was called to a home in Exeter Township Wednesday morning following a fire at the location.<\/p>\n<p>County dispatchers said fire personnel were sent to the 1200 block of Dauphin Place just after 7 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Initial emergency dispatches called for a fire in a single-story residence.<\/p>\n<p>Personnel from Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department brought the fire under control and conducted a search of the residence.<\/p>\n<p>During that search, the body of 70-year-old John Chiarelli was located inside the doorway of the home, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
