SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) \u2014 Four juveniles are facing charges following threats being made over a video game and a subsequent assault.<\/p>\n
The Scranton Police Department said that the investigation began on Tuesday when officers were dispatched to Foster Street at Gunster Avenue for a report of a possible abduction.<\/p>\n
At the scene, it was revealed that the incident was in fact an assault, according to authorities. A vehicle involved in the incident was identified and shortly after located by police in Old Forge. <\/p>\n
Four teens were found in the vehicle and taken into custody:<\/p>\n
Age 15, TaylorAge 15, Old ForgeAge 17, DuryeaAge 15, Old Forge<\/p>\n
The 14-year-old victim reported to investigators that he was engaged in an argument while playing the online game “Fortnite,” and another player made threats to assault him.<\/p>\n
The victim was later walking to his residence when a vehicle sped up to him and stopped. The four suspects exited the vehicle and assaulted the victim, police said.<\/p>\n
The victim sustained injuries, including superficial lacerations from an edged weapon, according to police.<\/p>\n
The four occupants of the vehicle face charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and simple assault and conspiracy to commit reckless endangerment.<\/p>\n
