WYOMISSING, Pa. \u2013 A popular dining concept, known for its Philly cheesesteaks and vibrant atmosphere, is expanding its footprint in the region.<\/p>\n
A new location of MaGerk\u2019s Pub & Grill is expected to open later this year at 901 Hill Ave. in Wyomissing, Berks County.<\/p>\n
The new MaGerk\u2019s location will operate on the ground floor of The Block at Wyomissing Square. A liquor license application for the new location has already been posted in the property\u2019s window.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are super excited to be part of the community and are planning for a fall 2026 open!\u201d a MaGerk\u2019s spokesperson told 69 News.<\/p>\n
MaGerk\u2019s Pub & Grill, blending \u201cauthentic Philly cheesesteaks with a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere,\u201d was established in 2000 in Baltimore, Maryland by John and Paul Dolaway, according to a historical account on the business\u2019 website.<\/p>\n
MaGerk\u2019s quickly became a favorite hangout for young professionals and post-college crowds, and in 2002, when the neighboring bar went up for sale, the Dolaways expanded its original location in Baltimore\u2019s Federal Hill neighborhood.<\/p>\n
\u201cTheir Philly cheesesteaks became legendary, thanks to their secret weapon \u2014 freshly delivered rolls with a crispy outside and soft inside, perfectly complementing the steak and cheese,\u201d the online message reads.<\/p>\n
Over the next 20-plus years, the pub expanded its footprint further to include a total of eight locations, including five other Pennsylvania locations in Lionville, Chester County; Langhorne, Bucks County; and Horsham, Royersford and Fort Washington, Montgomery County.<\/p>\n
Additional MaGerk\u2019s locations operate in Bel Air, Maryland; and Elon, North Carolina.<\/p>\n
Despite MaGerk\u2019s ongoing expansion, each pub location honors its local community by displaying black-and-white photos that celebrate the people and moments that make each spot special.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver time, the menu has evolved into a collection of cult classics, including hand-rolled cheesesteak eggrolls, enormous nachos, and their legendary cheesesteaks. Pair your meal with a cold local craft beer or a fresh-squeezed crush cocktail for the ultimate experience.\u201d<\/p>\n
MaGerk\u2019s customers can enjoy beef or chicken cheesesteaks, featuring Cooper sharp American cheese, which can be customized to their liking.<\/p>\n
For example, beef varieties, made with 100% ribeye steak, can be made \u201choagie style\u201d with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo, and chicken varieties can be made \u201cBuffalo style.\u201d<\/p>\n
Customers also can choose to add ingredients such as mushrooms, hot peppers, fried onions, wiz, bacon, marinara or long hots to their cheesesteaks.<\/p>\n
In addition to its famous cheesesteaks, MaGerk\u2019s offers appetizers such as crab dip, tempura pickles, mozzarella triangles and short rib scoop fries; sandwiches such as a hot roast pork, Nashville chicken, spicy shrimp wrap and turkey club; and entrees such as citrus salmon, BBQ baby back ribs, grilled sirloin steak and MaGerk\u2019s crab cake.<\/p>\n
Other menu highlights include a wide array of nachos, wings, burgers, salads, bowls and sides.<\/p>\n
