That\u2019s not a bad stat line, regardless of how it has been achieved. However, the manner in which the Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a> have won their six in a row has been enormously important and, quite frankly, impressive. <\/p>\n The streak began with a couple of teams on the second of back-to-backs, Chicago and Carolina, but the Penguins gained momentum and swept their back-to-back last weekend by beating Detroit Saturday and earning an emotional comeback win over Columbus Sunday. <\/p>\n Given this compressed and at times quite unfair NHL schedule, every team has to go through it, and those that show up for the second game or the third in four nights will be the ones in the playoffs. <\/p>\n It\u2019s been a momentous week that may have saved the Penguins\u2019 season, set the team on a new trajectory, and maybe altered general manager Kyle Dubas\u2019s thinking just a bit. <\/p>\n For PHN+ subscribers, we\u2019ve got a few inside conversations.
