{"id":83335,"date":"2026-01-10T16:03:05","date_gmt":"2026-01-10T16:03:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/83335\/"},"modified":"2026-01-10T16:03:05","modified_gmt":"2026-01-10T16:03:05","slug":"sting-snap-two-game-losing-skid-with-9-1-win-over-erie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/83335\/","title":{"rendered":"Sting snap two game losing skid with 9-1 win over Erie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Sarnia Sting hammered the visiting Erie Otters in OHL action Friday night.<\/p>\n<p>The Sting&#8217;s Jack Van Volsen scored three goals to record his first career OHL hat trick in Sarnia&#8217;s 9-1 victory.<\/p>\n<p>Also scoring for Sarnia was Matthew Manza, Jordan Bax, Hunter Soloman, Easton Walos and Jacob Reese.<\/p>\n<p>Overage forward Ben Pickell had a three-point night including a goal and two assists and Liam Beamish had three assists for Sarnia in the win.<\/p>\n<p>Tyler Cooper scored the lone goal for Erie in the first period.<\/p>\n<p>The Sting outshot the Otters 47 to 20.<\/p>\n<p>The win moves Sarnia to 12-23-4-1 on the season, one point behind the Otters, who are sitting at ninth place in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n<p>The Sting are home to Kingston on Sunday, January 11.
