The Tampa Bay Lightning (27-13-3) defeated the Philadelphia Flyers (22-13-8) 7-2 on Saturday night and xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia. With the win, the Lightning have now won nine consecutive games.<\/p>\n
Nikita Kucherov had four points – two goals and two assists – to lead the way for Tapma Bay. Gage Goncalves had two goals, Brayden Point and three assists, and Brandon Hagel and Yanni Gourde also scored in the blowout win.<\/p>\n
Kucherov’s two goals both came in the first period, and lifted the Lightning to a 2-1 lead. Nick Paul scored in the second to make it 3-1, before Tampa Bay erupted with four goals in the third to turn this game into a blowout. Andrei Vasilevskiy went 18-for-20 in net to get the win. Samuel Ersson took the loss in net for Philadelphia, saving 16 of the 23 shots he faced.<\/p>\n
The Lightning remain in Philadelphia and will play the Flyers once again on Monday night. Puck drop from Philadelphia Monday night is scheduled for 7:00 PM.<\/p>\n
