From Pottstown to Upper Perkiomen, people including Joy DeBach are gathering to protest ICE.<\/p>\n
Protesters are speaking out saying they do not believe the fatal shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis was justified.<\/p>\n
“This week’s events have really shaken people and every day, every week there’s something new to come out and protest what’s going on in the country right now,” said DeBach.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, federal officials including Vice President J.D. Vance said the federal agent acted appropriately.<\/p>\n
“What I’m certain of is that she accelerated in a way where she ran into the guy. I don’t know what was in her heart and what was in her head, but I know that she violated the law and I know that officer was acting in self-defense,” said Vice President Vance.<\/p>\n
Jane Buhl is among the people in Pottstown protesting ICE.<\/p>\n
She said she believes the events in Minneapolis have touched the hearts of everyone.<\/p>\n
“This has pushed people over the edge. I hope that thousands and thousands of people in every city are going to come out,” said Buhl.<\/p>\n
The protesters said they gather here each Saturday, including Pat Jordan.<\/p>\n
“It’s been amazing and you can hear in the background all of the horns saying yes, we agree with you,” said Jordan.<\/p>\n
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said the federal officer who fired followed his training.<\/p>\n
“This vehicle was used to hit this officer. It was used as a weapon, and the officer feels as though his life was in jeopardy.
