READING, Pa.\u00a0\u2013 Police and first responders rushed to the scene of a reported pedestrian accident in Reading Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

Crews responded to the 1400 block of Perkiomen Avenue shortly after 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Initial emergency dispatches called for a pedestrian accident at the location involving multiple victims.<\/p>\n

A long ribbon of yellow police tape could be seen stretched down the block as officers worked to secure the scene.<\/p>\n

Emergency officials confirm two victims were transported to the hospital, with one in critical condition.<\/p>\n

“I was able to see two people laying down on the ground,” neighbor Quantazia David said.<\/p>\n

The neighbor said she and other people on scene provided aid to a woman until an ambulance arrived.<\/p>\n

“She couldn’t talk,” David said of the woman. “Her eyes were closed due to the trauma, so it was pretty severe.”<\/p>\n

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Police on scene could be seen collecting evidence off the road.<\/p>\n
