The Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> were unable to take advantage of a huge opportunity on Thursday Night Football to begin Week 7. Against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Steelers came up short and allowed Joe Flacco to put together a big-time performance.<\/p>\n

When all was said and done, Pittsburgh ended up losing the game by a final score of 33-31.<\/p>\n

Following the loss, the Steelers now hold a 4-2 record. They have looked the part of a potential Super Bowl contender with Aaron Rodgers leading the way. However, there are still areas that Pittsburgh could use improvement.<\/p>\n

One of those areas comes in the backfield. The Steelers’ running game has been solid, but they could use even more production on the ground to take more pressure off of Rodgers.<\/p>\n

To that end, a potential trade target has been suggested for Pittsburgh with the deadline coming up quickly.<\/p>\n

Vinnie Iyer of The Sporting News has named New York Jets running back Breece Hall as a potential fit for the Steelers.<\/p>\n

“Hall is a pending free agent, and the Jets aren\u2019t certain about bringing him back on a long-term deal,” Iyer wrote<\/a>. “The Chargers have dealt with the most injuries in the backfield, but Hall could also be a great fit in Pittsburgh, providing an overall upgrade over Jaylen Warren. He\u2019d thrive in Arthur Smith\u2019s offense while reuniting with Aaron Rodgers.”<\/p>\n

Depending on the price tag, a trade for Hall could make perfect sense for Pittsburgh. He’s a threat both on the ground and through the air. Rodgers has always loved utilizing dual-threat running backs out of the backfield throughout his career.<\/p>\n

So far this season with the Jets, Hall has played in all six games. He has carried the football 88 times for 410 yards but hasn’t scored a touchdown, averaging 4.7 yards per attempts. Hall has also caught 17 passes for 150 yards.<\/p>\n

Of course, Hall and Rodgers were teammates for the last two seasons in New York. They’re familiar with each other and could form a nice duo on the Steelers.<\/p>\n

At this point in time, it’s just an idea that could make sense for Pittsburgh. There have been no official reports about the Steelers having interest in acquiring him. But, it’s an idea worth keeping an eye on if the team wants to improve in the backfield.<\/p>\n
