Erie<\/a> had lost ten games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 5-3 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They skirted past the Rocky Mountain Lobos<\/a> 54-51. For those keeping track at home, that’s the closest victory the Tigers have posted since January 10, 2025.<\/p>\n Erie’s win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Garrett Owen<\/a>, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 19 points and eight boards. Bishop Diana<\/a> also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first rebounds of the season.<\/p>\n As for Rocky Mountain, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-5. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.<\/p>\n Rocky Mountain’s loss came despite strong showings from Kai Wagner<\/a> and Peyton Matkin<\/a>. Wagner posted eight points and four steals, while Matkin almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Bode Nesbitt<\/a>, who had seven points.<\/p>\n Coming up, Erie is taking a road trip to challenge Holy Family at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Erie will need to watch out since Holy Family has now posted at least 55 points every time they’ve taken the court this season. As for Rocky Mountain, they will host Greeley West at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lobos will be up against the Spartans’ rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.<\/p>\n
